Back in its heyday, the Helene Curtis Empress was the “World’s Finest And Fastest Hair Dryer”. It was patented in 1937.
The base and stand are made of cast iron. The base is on (4) castor wheels. The “dome” rotates 360 degrees. When the lamp goes up and down, and when it is completely down it is 4 1/2′ tall. When the lamp is completely extended, it stands at over 5 1/2′ tall. The base is 20 inches squared all the way around the wheels.
