About Funk and Junk

Funk & Junk is a Unique Furniture Store known for "one of a kind pieces". If you are looking for a statement piece, look no further.
We take pride in our work and are involved in every step of the process. We source as many salvage materials locally, as we believe in reusing and repurposing. We breathe new life into old things that people may have grown tired of using. We work with quality handcrafted woods, like Black Walnut, Sycamore, and Maple. Then depending on the project we will mix in metals like Zinc, Copper and even Slate. We love turning Trash into Treasure
After we source our materials, we personally hand make the piece in our workshop in NJ. We work together with our clients to create their perfect one-of-a-kind piece.
We are also known for our unique lighting. We are known to be able to "make just about anything into a light"

We are also lucky enough to be an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Stockist and are now offering Classes and Workshops! Have your next Girls' Night Out with us. We will create a piece of furniture around a color. Annie Sloan chalk paint hands down, has the most beautiful palette.

We hope you will visit us soon.

Funk & Junk was born when Kim’s Designing Vision and Gene’s Industrial Style convened while working on a project together for their own businesses. They instantly realized that their artistry and creativity complemented each other producing furniture that is stylish, functional and funky.
Funk & Junk has built an inventory of amazing salvaged materials. Kim and Gene go on picks themselves all around the Lambertville, NJ area. They take pride in the fact that they can create a unique, one-of-a-kind piece from mostly, if not all, reclaimed materials. When a piece is created, it is put together in Gene's studio and then brought into the store. Everything we have can be customized. Everything is unique. Every piece has a story.

In 2017, we were also on the popular TV show, Flea Market Flip. We are honored to have been chosen to be part of the show. The episode was called "A Funky Good Flip!" Season 11, Episode 1. We are proud of the work we did on the show, as it showcases how we think out of the box in all of our creations. The show stays true to who we are.
