"I LOVE my lamp! Old Egg baskets, reinvented as my laundry room lamp. Any time you want to find, or create a unique piece, Funk and Junk is the place to go. I had been looking everywhere for something different for this room. And with their usual creative flair, we came up with the perfect light fixture. Can’t wait for our next collaboration!" ~ Susan Lerner Freeman (April 2018)

"We recommend you make Funk and Junk your one and only stop for custom live edge and reclaimed furniture! Save yourself the time and hassle of researching and visiting dozens of stores and workshops. Upon meeting Gene and Kim we immediately felt their passion and knew they were masters of their craft. They took the time to explain the process they take in constructing their one of kind pieces and took us for a tour around their workshop so that we understood the available options. Once we made the decision to move forward in purchasing our live edge dining room table and matching bench they were an absolutely dream to work with. They were extremely responsive in answering our emails and provided us the opportunity to come in for a few visits to see the progress and pick paint colors for the legs, stain and slabs of wood! The table  is an absolute showstopper in our living room and couldn't be happier with the purchase!

To top it off Kim worked with my husband to painted an antique mirror for my birthday present that they gave me when the table was delivered!

I can't wait to work with them on future projects in our home!"

"An overdue “thank you” for the fabulous ASCP class recently held at your shop.   I thoroughly enjoyed myself and could have spent the entire day there practicing and learning from you.  It was such a worthwhile way to spend a Saturday morning.  You did a terrific job and made us feel so welcome.  No one would have known it was your first class!"

"My wife and I visited Funk and Junk while walking around Lambertville. It is at the opposite side of town away from the water. It is well worth a trip to see how this company takes reclaimed/repurposed materials and mixes them to create one of a kind furniture. Their goods were amazing. From dining tables that would accompany 8 cut from huge logs to lamp fixtures and coffee tables. Most of their items use a combination of old metal objects paired with old wooden objects. Their website shows off a few items but their store in person is much better. Apparently they will be expanding their showroom in the near future. The people are very friendly and know where each item was claimed and also something about the history." ~ Joe from Newark, DE

"I went in thinking I just wanted to buy some Annie Sloan paint, I left having purchased a gorgeous and unique table AND the paint! The owner, Kim, so sweet and funny, took me around the store, told me the very interesting history of how it came to be, and showed me some new paint techniques for my furniture project that will make it even more fabulous than I could have imagined. I met Gene, the totally funky and talented guy who makes the furniture they sell, and he gave me the history of the pieces that went into making the table that I bought. It's not often that you come across a store with such unique pieces that NOBODY else will have. When you buy from Kim and Gene you know they literally put their blood, sweat, and tears into everything they make and sell." ~ Jodi M.
